Went to get an ultrasound for my thyroid today. The technician asked what the problem was, why I was there- in Spanish.
"Uh..... para mi tyroid.... el numero en mi sangre es bajo."
(Uh... for my thyroid... the number in my blood is low.)
"De donde sos?"
(Where are you from?)
"California."
"Ah!" She starts singing. "....California swimming..... You know? That song?"
"Um... California Dreaming?"
"Yes! California Dreaming. Sixties."
Dreaming, swimming, whatever.

Funny: your Spanish is just as bad, what cheek you've got
I know my Spanish is bad... That's why I deliberately put my bad Spanish in the post. I am just as willing to laugh at myself as at others.
That's great! I'm going to sing "California swimming" all day long today. :-)
